I just found a French coin: “LIBERTE EGALITE FRATERNITE 20 CENTIMES 1981″. What is the US value?

It was mixed in a roll of quarters. Is it the equivalent of a US quarter? Will my bank exchange it?

  1. Jeanie R says:

    Ten cents.

No idea about its worth. Most banks do not exchange foreign coins however, only bills.

Unfortunately, francs are obsolete, so it is likely worth $0. Unless, of course, it’s in perfect condition, has an error, etc. and has collector’s value.
